Dr. Dyer has spent 20+ years as a doctor embracing the full diversity of veterinary medicine, practicing in small animal, large animal, exotic and emergency care. After years of experience came the desire to build a great hospital of her own: Lake Geneva Veterinary Hospital (now Family Pet Practice) was purchased in 2004, followed by Wixom Veterinary Clinic (now Wixom Family Pet Practice) in 2011. She has a strong dedication to all pets and the families who love them, as evidenced by her own multi-species family of 2 boys, dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and sheep. In her free time, you will find her outdoors, riding horses, kayaking, camping or SCUBA diving.

Her professional interests include dermatology, dentistry, endocrinology, and client education. She is a member of the American Veterinary MedicalAssociation (AVMA) and the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA).

She also keeps up to date with the latest in the field by attending continuing education events.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, both from Michigan State University.

When not at the clinic, Dr. Richards loves to read and spend time outdoors. She has traveled to Europe and Africa. Her most recent adventure was a cross-country road trip out West. 

Dr. Richards is also an avid sports fan. Raised here in the Metro Detroit area, she can be found cheering on her favorite teams, the MSU Spartans, Detroit Tigers, and RedWings.

Dr. Jamie Craig graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Following graduation she moved to Jacksonville, Florida to be with her husband, a Leiutenant submariner in the US Navy stationed at Kings Bay Georgia. Here, she gained a vast amount of experience working in a busy private practice. After three years in the south she moved back home to Michigan and worked as a relief veterinarian prior to joining Family Pet Practice in 2015.

I have always had a passion for animals and especially large animals! I graduated from the University of Findlay in 2018. I knew as a little girl, I wanted to be involved with the Veterinary Community and it has never changed. I enjoy meeting different animals and talking with their families. In my free time, you can catch me at the barn with my horse. I love camping, kayaking, and hanging out with Family and Friends. My pets include a Horse, a Goldendoodle, a Golden Retriever, 4 cats, and 16 chickens!

Hi there! I have been passionate about animals of all shapes and sizes for as long as I can remember. As a child, I spent most of my spare time at the Nature Center watching and interacting with the wide variety of wildlife and knowing that all I wanted to do when I grew up was work with animals. That still holds true today. I currently have 2 dogs, Cooper a labrador and Shiloh a Shiba Inu and a cat named Milo.

Becky has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over 20 years. She has a terrier mix named Stanley Joseph, and an orange male tabby named Chester Monroe. Becky has raised three sons and enjoys spending as much time with them as she possibly can. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, kayaking, spending time on the pontoon, and traveling up north whenever it is possible.

Dominique, is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who earned a bachelors degree in Animal Science/ PreVet Studies with a minor in Dance Education at Michigan State University and graduated in 2017. She continued into her passion and love for animals and earned her license as a Veterinary Technician at Macomb Community College in 2023. Dominique is in hopes to continue to enhance and develop her Veterinary Community in any way necessary while thriving and seeking new ways to build a positive coexistence between animals and human beings. Aside from work, she enjoys singing, dancing, and horseback riding while tending to her fish back at home. She is on a journey to one day find a new fur baby in the near future for her home.

Recent Stautzenberger College graduate with a Veterinary Technician Associates Degree. I am a military veteran who found a new calling that started in Small Animal Medicine in 2018 in Tennessee. My Husband and I recently bought a home in the area and we look forward to this new beginning. We bring our 4 fur babies with us including Koda, our high energy lab mix along with Calvin, Queso and PG, our 3 adorable kitties.

Bobby, born and raised in Staten Island, New York City, started his vet med career in 2015 at a Brooklyn Emergency and Specialty Hospital. He’s worked in General Practice in Staten Island. In August 2024, he and his adorable goldendoodle, DJ, joined his husband, Anthony, as well as Anthony’s furball family in Macomb County for a new and exciting chapter of life. Bobby is excited to be starting at Family Pet Practice, and is ready to hit the ground running.

Greg graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Zoology in 2016. Prior to working at Wixom Family Pet Practice, he worked in the veterinary research industry for almost a decade. When not at work, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Kaitlyn, their beagle, Moose, and two cats, Fanny and Winnie. His hobbies include tabletop games, reading, and playing disc golf.

I always knew I wanted to work with animals from a young age I have always had a special connection with them. I am a student at Macomb Community College pursuing a future career as a Veterinary Technician. I have 4 dogs at home and in my free time I enjoy cooking, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends!

Dianne came to Family Pet Practice after working at a local emergency facility. Her passion for animals extends into her personal life - she does local Trap Neuter Release for feral cat colonies and also fosters when she can. She has a beloved Corgi with epilepsy named Rocko Luigi, and she enjoys home gardening and local plant life.
